Tiny Kit for Travel Translator

Tips from me - Tiny kit for Travel Translator (or any job that requires you to move around and talk a lot)

1. Herbal Lozenge - for a quick relieve for wounded or sore throat. You could get this in any pharmacy.

2. Melon Frost - to prevent any possible ulcer in your mouth. For my case, I tend to get ulcer a lot due to excessive body heat.

3. Clorets - to temporarily refresh your breath. If your listener keep making some sort of disgusted face, you sure need this thing.

4. Mouth Wash - an essential item after having your meal. Not that you could brush your teeth in public.

5. Biscuit - for a boost of energy. Better yet, get a sugary candy if your energy tend to run out faster.

The rest of the items are pretty normal, such as aspirins. I had finished my trip to Guangzhou few days ago, and these stuff seriously helped me getting through it. A week of restless interpreting huh, God knows how exhausted I was.

Lazat Steak House @ Uda, Johor Bahru

Steak! Ribs! I need those things!

Has anyone here been to food tour in Johor Bahru. If you couldn't find one, create your own tour then. Let me suggest you the places you should try.

Located in Bandar Baru Uda, the area next to Angsana mall, situated right next to steamboot restaurant, this place will give you a good time in its relaxing space.

I know, I know. Every time I visit cafe or restaurant, first thing that comes to my attention is design, or maybe the space they're providing. It has to be a zen space for foodies, specially design by some hipsters, and it has to have extra space. Without these, you will never get into my list. Lol!

Anyways, take a look on some of those food. I like the culinary here for being simple. Boiled-vegetables, a stick of corn and a thrilled-looking ribs, served on a huge white plate. Well, you just had my attention, buddy!

As for the price, I'm not very sure whether to call it expensive or not. For the ribs up there, it cost me around RM33 and the bread pudding, it was RM9. You may call it expensive, or you may call it worth paying. I picked later one. In total, I paid RM88 for both my mom and myself.

You should really try it. Johor Bahru does have great places to chill, but majority of them stayed hidden. You've got to dig in deeper to find those place. Good luck finding them!

The Time I Had Dengue Fever

2nd Branch of Mr&Mrs Dai Waffle Taste @ Johor Bahru

Remember that time I made a review for my friend's dessert store. Well, you know what, they'd launched a new branch a month ago. This time around, they'd made it into a cafe, instead of a waffle store. Now let's take a look on the details.

Awesome design, pretty much hipster-alike cafe. With all the vintage look and those wooden tables, God knows how much I enjoyed my time here.

First thing you need to know about this cafe, is that it's located inside of a 'professional' car wash. If you've ever been to Johor Bahru before this, you'd know that Jalan Abdullah Tahir is pretty much full of car wash places. And why am I quoting the word 'professional' - that's actually because it isn't a place where ordinary people come by and clean their cars. Most of the visitors are actually from Singapore and out from town. People do know that this street provides good car wash services, and this particular serves better. And majority of the customers here, they tend to bring out their big ass cars. Kind of like a automobile show if you look it differently. Lol!

Anyways, enough with the cars. Now talk more about waffles and this thrilling second branch. One thing I can assure you is that if you do love relaxing space and some fine desserts, this place could give you those. I love it for those reasons.

And how about the price? Hhmm, if you think RM7 - RM13 is worth paying for a good time and fine dessert, then that's good, because I wouldn't mind paying that much.

My favorite part of this cafe, is that little waffle pizza up there. They call it here 'Pizzey Pepperoni Chicken or Beef'. And what's in there? Loads of pepperoni slices, mushroom and mozzarella cheese. At the bottom of it, a thin layer of specially made tomato paste, which sinks into that soft waffle skin. As a result, you get both fragrant from home-made tomato paste and tender waffle skin. How about that?
Okay, we all know that every new stuff in this planet has its flaw. Mr&Mrs Dai Waffle Taste does not exclude from the list. For those who seek for full menu and various waffle designs, you will have to wait for it. Because these people are still planning their next move. Give them some times to catch their breath, will you? I'm pretty sure they're coming out with some cool menu, like ice-cream or chocolate sauces next.

I guess that's it for this entry, here's the link for their website Mr & Mrs Dai Waffle Taste. Or you could go visit them directly at below address. I'll see you guys later, check out my next post for some video blogging.
